While walking with my friend, Margo, at Sawgrass Lake Park a couple weeks ago, we spotted this little Raccoon trying to turn around between these two trees. He wasn't more than 5 feet from us. It was strange; here we were shooting like crazy with our cameras pointed right in his face almost and he could've cared less.
He was so intent on turning around between these trees he didn't even bother to look at us. He wasn't stuck; he just couldn't figure out how to get out of his situation. It didn't last long, though, because he spotted a snack and quickly figured out how to get out of his situation.
We had a great time that morning at Sawgrass, and saw so much wildlife and so many birds. It was a great day.

I love the detail and the rich, warm colors in this shot. At least all of the dead vegetation we have from the cold weather worked in your favor for this one. I haven't been to Sawgrass Lake in a long time. It is a nice place to spend time with a camera.
Thank you, Jim. The colors are the reason I liked this shot so much. It looks like Fall--not in Florida, but in CT.
Sawgrass Lake Park is a wonderful place to shoot. The best time to be there is around 7:30-8:00 am before anyone gets there. There's so much wildlife to shoot and you can't beat the scenery.
Loyce, your shot captures our confused little raccoon so well. I love that taking photographs lets you remember so much more than just the scene. I remember perfectly the light, the sounds, the smell, even the wind in my hair!
Thank you, Margo. He was so cute, and yes, you're right. Our captures bring back memories of the day. We are so lucky to be photographers.
