Full Flight

Last night I had a shoot for this band called, "Full Flight". We shot a few outside in the alley before the show. I suggested that since they are a heavy metal band, I'd process a few of them with this "grunge/edgy" style.

These guys aren't actors; my instructions to them were to look "bad". This look is their interpretation of "bad". Actually, they look more "bad" on stage. It was difficult since this is the first time I've worked with them and the only one I knew is the bass guitarist, Igor, on the left. I'll probably be posting some of the photos of the stage show sometime this week. Not all will be digitally enhanced.

We're currently looking for an aviation graveyard to shoot more. Not much luck so far.

What do you all think of this style?

Joe on Vocals and Guitar

During my stay in CT, my son told me that he had to play in an emergency and was very sorry. It seems that another band that went on to play for them when Joe (my son) was sick had a death in one of the players families, so they had to return the favor.

Sorry... I was elated! I have only seen them play twice before other than practice, and was anxious to hear them play again. Well, they ROCKED the house.

This is my son, Joe, who plays rhythm guitar, keyboards, harmonica and vocals. He also writes music and lyrics. During this song, he's showing how tired he was. He really didn't want to do this gig, but he made the best of it, and in the end we all had a great time.

Bass Player

While I was in CT in January, I wanted to photograph my son's band, Scissor Runners. They were in need of new photos and it would've been perfect if it wasn't for the weather.

This technique is something I wanted to try with them, but finding graffiti in 11º F weather and asking them to sit for a photo, just wasn't feasible.

I ended up taking the photos in the Bass Player's basement during one of their practices. Once home, I had to figure out how to move a photo of the Bass Player, Ricky Fournier, onto another photo of some graffiti I took in Ybor City, then apply the gritty effect.

I really like how this one came out. I'm waiting to see if he likes it. Ricky, what do you think?
